The ranch
It consists of 2.700 hectares devoted to cattle raising and afforestation. The plains alternate with red earth hills, shrubby vegetation and streams which flow into the Uruguay River.
The current 850-square metre farmstead was initially a school and general store. Today we have 11 rooms with private bathroom around a big central yard. There are also two dining-rooms, a living room with a fireplace and library, a bar and a room with satellite TV and DVD.
You can see how we make “asado” (strips of beef ribs threaded onto a stick and cooked over the open fire) and “empanadas”( meat pies cooked in a mud oven) in the park. For hot days we have a swimming pool and solarium with a view of the neighbouring fields.
In the farm and vegetable garden you can enjoy the contact with sheep, goats, ducks, guinea fowls and the crops, which provide the ingredients for our kitchen.
We also have a 700-metres long authorized runway and a hangar for two light aircrafts.
Gastronomy
Our speciality is the typical dishes from the province of Corrientes, which consist in a mixture of local food from the south (“criolla”) and the north (“guarinitica”) of the province such as locro, chipa, mandioca, fish like pacú, dorado and surubí, “asados”, “empanadas”, Paraguayan soup, etc.
